UI Inspector Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of UI Inspector ("the Extension"). By purchasing or using UI Inspector, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Extension.

1. License & Usage

1.1 License Grant

UI Inspector is licensed, not sold. Upon purchase, you are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Extension subject to these Terms. You do not acquire any ownership rights to the Extension or its underlying code.

1.2 Activation Limits

Your license permits a specific number of activations based on your chosen plan:

  • Personal License: Up to 3 activations. Intended for individual use across your personal devices.
  • Team License: Up to 15 activations. Intended for small teams and workgroups within a single organization.
  • Enterprise License: Up to 30 activations. Intended for larger organizations.

An "activation" refers to installing and activating the Extension on a single browser profile.

1.3 Free & Pro Tiers

UI Inspector offers a free tier with core editing features and a paid Pro tier with additional capabilities. The free tier may be used without a license. A valid license key is required to access Pro features.

1.4 Personal & Commercial Use

All license tiers permit both personal and commercial use. You may use UI Inspector for client work, professional projects, and business purposes. The license tier you choose should reflect the number of users or devices, not the nature of your use.

1.5 Restrictions

You agree not to:

  • Resell or Redistribute: Sell, sublicense, lease, or distribute your license key or the Extension to any third party.
  • Share Licenses: Share your license key with individuals outside your organization or beyond your permitted activation count.
  • Reverse Engineer: Decompile, disassemble, modify, or create derivative works based on the Extension.
  • Circumvent Protections: Bypass, disable, or interfere with any license validation, security measures, or usage restrictions.
  • Misrepresent Ownership: Claim ownership of or authorship over the Extension or any part thereof.

2. Payment & Refunds

2.1 Pricing

All prices are listed at the point of sale and are subject to change at any time without prior notice. Price changes do not affect existing licenses—only future purchases.

2.2 Payment Processing

All payments are processed securely by our third-party payment provider, Gumroad. We do not collect or store your payment information. Your purchase is subject to Gumroad's terms of service and privacy policy.

2.3 Refund Policy

We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee on all purchases:

  • Eligibility: You may request a full refund within 30 days of your original purchase date, no questions asked.
  • How to Request: Contact us at violetsmyster@gmail.com with your order details.
  • After Refund: Upon refund, your license will be revoked and you must immediately cease using premium features.

Refund requests made after the 30-day period may be considered on a case-by-case basis but are not guaranteed.

2.4 Chargebacks

If you initiate a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank or payment provider instead of contacting us for a refund:

  • Your license will be immediately and permanently revoked.
  • We reserve the right to pursue recovery of any costs incurred, including chargeback fees.

3. User Content & Generated Output

3.1 Your Edits

UI Inspector enables you to make visual CSS modifications to web pages. These modifications exist only in your local browser session and are not saved to or applied on the original website. You are solely responsible for how you use any CSS, screenshots, or other output generated by the Extension.

3.2 Presets

Custom presets you create are stored locally on your device. We do not claim any ownership over your presets or exported code.

4. Disclaimer of Warranties

4.1 "As Is" Provision

UI Inspector is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

4.2 No Guarantee of Compatibility

We do not warrant that:

  • The Extension will function on every website, browser, or system configuration.
  • The Extension will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of bugs.
  • The Extension will meet your specific requirements or expectations.
  • Any errors or defects will be corrected.

Some websites may use technologies, security measures, or structures that interfere with the Extension's functionality. We are not responsible for such incompatibilities.

4.3 No Liability for Damages

You acknowledge that use of the Extension is at your own risk. We are not responsible for any damages, data loss, system issues, or other harm that may result from using the Extension, including but not limited to:

  • Conflicts with other browser extensions or software.
  • Browser performance issues.
  • Any impact on websites you visit while using the Extension.

5. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

  • We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use UI Inspector.
  • We shall not be liable for any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses.
  • Our total cumulative liability to you for any and all claims arising from or related to these Terms or the Extension shall not exceed the amount you paid for your license.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you.

6. Termination

6.1 Termination by You

You may stop using UI Inspector at any time. Uninstalling the Extension does not entitle you to a refund outside of the 30-day guarantee period.

6.2 Termination by Us

We reserve the right to revoke your license, without refund, if you:

  • Violate any provision of these Terms.
  • Share, resell, or redistribute your license key.
  • Initiate a chargeback or fraudulent payment dispute.
  • Attempt to circumvent license validation or security measures.
  • Engage in any activity that we reasonably determine to be abusive or harmful to UI Inspector or its users.

6.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination of your license, you must immediately cease all use of UI Inspector and uninstall the Extension from all devices. Sections 4, 5, 7, and 8 of these Terms shall survive termination.

7. Governing Law & Disputes

7.1 Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

7.2 Dispute Resolution

Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or your use of UI Inspector shall be resolved as follows:

  • Informal Resolution: We encourage you to contact us first at violetsmyster@gmail.com to attempt to resolve any dispute informally.
  • Jurisdiction: If informal resolution fails, any legal action or proceeding shall be brought exclusively in the courts located in the United Kingdom, and you consent to the jurisdiction of such courts.

8. General Provisions

8.1 Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of UI Inspector after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the Extension.

8.2 Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

8.3 Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding UI Inspector and supersede any prior agreements or understandings.

8.4 No Waiver

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not be considered a waiver of that right or provision.
